Wellbeing Program 17th June 2019 – 1st August 2019

The community at 50 Lonsdale supports a variety of sustainable, charitable and wellness initiatives. Our Weekly Wellness program currently consists of the following classes for the community of Casselden.

Tai Chi Tuesdays

Release stress and tension with a 25 minute Tai Chi class every Tuesday morning. This gentle and restorative exercise therapy helps release physical, mental and emotional stress and improves health and well-being. Our easy Tai Chi course explores slow stretches, and gentle flowing movements with a strong focus on mindfulness and presence. Over the 10 weeks, two five element forms of easy Tai Chi will be shared with participants.

Sessions are suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness. Movements are performed standing and do not require special attire.

Wellness Wednesdays

Lunch & Learn – Wellbeing Workshops
Casselden Terrace, Level 5 Casselden
12:00pm to 12:45am, every Wednesday 19/06/2019 – 31/07/2019

Join us each Wednesday for a MasterClass style workshop designed to unveil your most productive, energised and inspired self in all facets of your life. Along with our 5-minute mindfulness tools, we’ll be sharing our favourite and easily actionable (and scientifically supported) techniques to get you there.

Each week workshops will feature trending health and wellness topics such as:

  • Sleep and recovery
  • Boosting energy
  • Living a mindful life
  • Balancing the nervous system
  • Reducing stress

Cardio Boxing

Genesis Fitness Studio, Level 2, 50 Lonsdale Street,
4:45pm to 5:15pm
Each Wednesday 19/06/2019 – 30/07/2019

Cardio Boxing is a high-intensity class which involves a combination of cardiovascular and resistance exercises to challenge any fitness level, tone your body and get your heart rate pumping.

Throughout the class, you can expect to complete mainly boxing combinations, cardio drills, and specific boxing exercises.

This class is suitable for all levels of fitness.

Music Meditation

Music meditation is an active meditation process that works with the power of sounds and the energy of creation.

On opening ourselves up to music meditation, we craft the co-creative space within us, increasing our awareness, awakening our potential and quietening the mind from our busy lives.

Mat Pilates

The goal of a Mat Pilates class is to strengthen the body’s “powerhouse,” a Pilates term that refers to your abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes.
Through a series of floor exercises using resistance bands and rings, the workout helps build, sculpt and tone these muscles. Pilates can aid in flexibility and improving posture, as stretching your body is a vital part of this class. While low-impact, Pilates burns fat during and after class, as your muscles continue to shed calories long after class ends.

Mat Pilates is an effective, precise set of exercises. It’s accessible to everyone at any level of fitness and provides countless benefits.
