ISPT purchased and then developed the 50 Lonsdale Street site in 2006 with a vision to create a substantial and contemporary commercial tower that integrated into the city below by offering a generosity of civic space.
Today, the precinct is a vibrant place that meets the needs of tenants and has contributed to ISPT’s reputation for property excellence and integrity.
In fact, 50 Lonsdale Streetwas ISPT’s first major development and one of the most significant in the company’s history. Arthur Apted, Former Managing Director of ISPT expresses the significance of the project: “In the early 2000’s we decided to diversify the product offer, that took us into property development. That was a $250 million project we won through a competitive tender process with the Victorian Government as a cornerstone tenant for the building. Some people regarded it a very ambitious first up property development. The project came in pretty much on time and on budget and considerably in excess of the target rate of return we had set for it.”
